Job summary

Safeguard Access Products Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair automatic doors and related hardware across Southwestern Ontario.

You will troubleshoot issues, read technical drawings, and perform inspections at client sites to ensure optimal operation. The role requires 5+ years in this field, ability to travel to multiple sites, and comfort training apprentices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in installation, replacement, and repair of automatic door openers, door hardware, and hollow metal doors and frames.
  • Knowledge of Universal Automatic Washroom systems.
  • Proficient with low voltage wiring.
  • Experience fabricating, customizing and installing door hardware.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Comfortable training apprentices and advising of best practices.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Certifications in relevant fields (e.g., AAADM certification) are a plus

Job description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Field Service Technician based in Southwestern Ontario. We are looking for support in the following areas: Windsor, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Hamilton, Niagara Falls, and throughout the GTA. The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatics, hardware, and hollow metal doors and frames in their preferred area as well as assisting in other areas as the need arises. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, performing inspections, and providing recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

5+ years experience in the installation, replacement, and repair of automatic door openers, door hardware, and hollow metal doors and frames

Knowledge of Universal Automatic Washroom systems

Proficient with low voltage wiring

Experience fabricating, customizing and installing door hardware

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
