Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines is seeking a Process Plant Maintenance professional to ensure reliability of process plant equipment and overhead cranes at the Detour Lake Mine on a 7/7 schedule. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to OHSA and proactive problem solving in a remote mining environment.

Candidates should have a Red Seal and 5+ years in mining or industrial settings, with hands-on crane maintenance and SAP experience to support operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Inter-provincial trade certificate (Red Seal) or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical.
• 5 years' related experience in an industrial/mining setting.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting overhead cranes.
• Experience using SAP for maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete specific work orders with clear details for coworkers.
• Provide mechanical expertise to assist operations and maintenance teams.
• Complete logs and inspection reports for overhead cranes as required.
• Safely operate mobile equipment such as small cranes, lifts and forklifts.
• Assist in commissioning new installations and modifications.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and safety reporting.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Process Plant Mechanical Supervisor, you will be part of the Process Plant Maintenance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Complete specific work orders, providing sufficient detail for co-workers to acknowledge work completion and/or equipment issues;
• Provide mechanical expertise and apply advanced analytical and trouble shooting skills to assist operations, maintenance and technical personnel in identifying and solving day to day equipment problems;
• Complete required logs and inspection reports as required with regards to overhead cranes in the OHSA Regulation;
• Safely operate specific units of mobile equipment including small mobile cranes, man lifts and forklifts;
• Assist in the commissioning of new installations and modifications;
• Analyze maintenance procedures and make recommendations to improve effectiveness;
• Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities;
• Ensure that safety issues are reported to the supervisor and promptly remedied;
• Participate in activities that contribute to the overall achievement of 'World Class' safety performance where safety is owned and embraced by everyone;
• Promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Inter-provincial trade certificate (Red Seal) or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent trade with relation to overhead crane maintenance;
• Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Overhead cranes considered and asset
• 5 years' related experience in an industrial/mining setting;
• Experience in computer based maintenance system, specifically SAP
• Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices;
• Experience working at a remote work site is an asset.

• Schedule:7/7 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
• Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.

Compensation Statement

In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.

Minimum Salary : 57.83CAD Maximum Salary : 61.06CAD
