Job summary

Price Steel Ltd. in Edmonton, AB is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Technician to service and repair cranes and related equipment in a safety-first environment.

The role involves on-site troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issues, inspections, and maintaining equipment at heights across our service center and manufacturing facility. Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
• Electronic experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Prior experience with operating cranes is a benefit.
• Overhead crane maintenance experience.
• Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing and able to work at various height levels all year round.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on overhead cranes.
• Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical and structural troubleshooting to determine cause for equipment malfunction and establish the necessary repairs utilizing visual inspection, test procedures and appropriate test equipment.
• Complete service reports and other required and appropriate documents in a professional, accurate, neat and legible manner and submit same in a timely manner and in accordance with established guidelines.
• Maintain all company issued equipment, vehicles and assets in a safe and proper working order.
• Operate tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
• Follow all established safety rules and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by General Manager.

Overhead Crane Technician (Edmonton, AB)

We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual with Overhead Crane repair experience.

Our technicians work in a safety-first type of environment and don’t mind heights or working on mechanical parts. As a service technician, you will be troubleshooting issues with our cranes, cutting equipment as well as all electrical work needed in our facilities.

Competitive hourly compensation of $ 60-70 depending on experience and proven ability to oversee and maintain equipment of a full Service Center and/or Manufacturing Facility.

Key Responsibilities:
