Job summary

Princeton Wood Preservers Ltd. is seeking a passionate Outside Sales & Marketing Representative to drive sales and market presence for pressure-treated wood products across Canada and the U.S. This full-time position involves travel and offers a competitive base salary and commission. You'll be responsible for securing new accounts, nurturing existing relationships, and representing the company at industry events, ensuring customer satisfaction and strategic growth.

We are a Canadian leader in the manufacturing and distribution of premium pressure-treated wood products including post-and-rail, foundation piling and small utility poles. Known for our commitment to durability, sustainability, and top-tier customer service, we serve a wide range of clients across the construction, retail, agricultural, and industrial sectors.

As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Outside Sales & Marketing Representative to spearhead business development in Western Canada and the Western United States. This a high-impact role with the opportunity to shape market presence and drive strategic growth in key regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and secure new sales opportunities with dealers, contractors, distributors, and retailers.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Promote and educate customers on the benefits, applications, and specifications of PWP pressure-treated wood products
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and site visits throughout the territory
  • Develop and implement regional sales and marketing plans
  • Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to inform pricing, promotions, and product positioning
  • Collaborate closely with production, logistics, and leadership teams to meet customer needs and streamline service
  • Maintain accurate sales reports, and pipeline forecasts

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in B2B sales
  • Proven success in outside sales, preferably within the pressure-treated wood, lumber, or building materials industry is helpful.
  • Some understanding of pressure-treated wood products, specifications, and applications is preferred
  • Post-secondary education in business and/or marketing streams
  • Based in Canada with valid passport and ability to travel internationally
