Job summary

Autism Services Saskatchewan in Prince Albert is seeking a full-time Youth Support Worker to mentor youth aged 15-21. You will deliver client-centered advocacy, life skills coaching, and case management while maintaining safety and program standards.

You will collaborate with schools, social services and community partners, transport clients to activities, and support education and employment goals. A driver’s licence and clear safeguarding checks are required.

Qualifications

  • Human services experience or relevant post-secondary education.
  • Experience working with diverse and Indigenous populations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and routine software.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence and clear checks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide client-centred support, advocacy, referrals and case planning.
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized goals.
  • Transport clients to appointments, employment, recreation and cultural activities.
  • Support youth with employment, education and life skills.
  • Liaise with schools, government ministries and community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with program standards and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in on-call crises response and daily administrative tasks.

Job Type: Full-Time Salaried (37.5 hours/week, based on program needs)

Reports To: Youth Homes Supervisor/Manager

Responsibilities
  • Support youth aged 1521 through mentorship, life skills development, advocacy, crisis intervention, and case management. Foster a safe, inclusive environment while maintaining program safety, cleanliness, and security.
Qualifications
  • Human services experience and/or relevant post-secondary education.
  • Experience working with diverse and Indigenous populations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of community resources is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and sound judgment.
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence.
  • Successful Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and YWCA Security Clearance.
Duties
  • Provide client-centred support, advocacy, referrals, and case planning.
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized goals.
  • Transport clients to appointments, employment, recreational, and cultural activities.
  • Support youth with employment, education, and life skills.
  • Liaise with schools, the Ministry of Social Services, and community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry contracts, YWCA policies, and program standards.
  • Assist with program development, documentation, incident reporting, daily logs, and statistical reporting.
  • Participate in the on‑call rotation and respond to crises as required.
  • Perform administrative duties and other responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
