  • Must have experience working with teenage youth
  • Must be flexible and willing to learn
  • Must have First Aid and CPR-C certificate or be willing to obtain one
  • Have knowledge with Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
  • Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s Licence
  • Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture
  • Must pass a Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check

Duties
  • Help identify career goals, barriers to employment and assist youth with job readiness skills, job search strategies, resume writing and interview preparation
  • Maintain a safe home environment
  • Prep and cook for 10 or more youth
  • Maintain an accurate daily log on day-to-day business
  • Plan fun and educational activities for teenage youth
  • Support and guide residents, teaching responsibility as they transition into adulthood and independence
  • Serve as a role model to youth and clients
  • Maintain building security
  • Ensure nightly and major house cleaning duties are complete, as well as regular everyday chores
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Provide support and advocacy to residents and clients of the YWCA
  • Provide feedback to the Manager regarding clients and major issues plus incident reports
  • Perform some administrative duties
  • Attend to crises as they arise during non-office hours; contact the Manager in the event of a major crisis
  • Prioritize work, attending to the most urgent needs first
