Job summary

Resicare Society of Calgary is seeking an experienced Support Worker to assist a male individual with a developmental disability who enjoys cards, lunch at Weeds, and visits to the Bowness Legion. Hours are 18 hours bi-weekly, Wednesday to Friday from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

Applicants must have a valid class 5 license, a relevant diploma in Rehabilitation or Social Services (with at least 2 years of experience), First Aid/ CPR and Medication Administration certification, and must obtain a Police

• Willing to drive and hold a valid Class 5 license.
• Diploma or equivalent in Rehabilitation Services or Social Services with 2 years experience supporting developmental disabilities.
• First Aid/ CPR and Medication Administration Certification required.
• Police Clearance check required at interview.

Job description

Resicare Society of Calgary consists of a team of professionals who are dedicated and committed to providing comprehensively integrated and high-quality support services to disabled individuals.

We are currently seeking an experienced Support Worker to support our male individual with a developmental disability. He likes to play cards, go for lunch to Weeds and enjoys going to the Bowness Legion on Thursdays.

Hours of work will be 18hrs Bi-weekly, Wednesday to Friday from 12:00pm-3:00pm.

This person must be:

• Willing to drive and have a valid class 5 license.
• A diploma or equivalent formal education in Rehabilitation Services, Social Services and 2 years experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities.
• A valid First/Aid CPR and Medication Administration Certification are required.
• A recent Police Clearance check is REQUIRED upon interview.
