Job summary

Fox Harb’r Resort on the Northumberland Strait in Wallace, Nova Scotia seeks an Outdoor Guide to lead kayaking tours and assist with archery and other activities in a 5Star, luxury setting.

You will ensure guest safety, provide exceptional service, and help guests enjoy a variety of outdoor experiences in a responsible, environmentally friendly manner.

Qualifications

• Experience an asset.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team.
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time.
• Working knowledge of environment and local area.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent instructional skills.
• Experience in kayaking and archery.
• Enjoy working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Guide individuals or groups on 2-hour kayaking tours.
• Assist with sport shooting, archery, fishing, biking, hiking, and boat tours.
• Create positive customer relations.
• Assemble necessary equipment and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Instruct and demonstrate related skills and techniques.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.

The Outdoor Guide isresponsible for conducting kayaking and other outdoor activities. Our goal isto provide guests with a spectacular outdoor experience, while ensuring thesafety of all and minimizing any negative environmental effects of ourpresence.
