Job summary

Fox Harb’r Resort in Wallace, Nova Scotia, invites a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our 5 Star property. Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, you will complete work orders, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with repairs across the resort.

The ideal candidate brings a high school diploma, basic maintenance knowledge, and the ability to use hand and power tools safely. You will thrive in a team environment, uphold safety standards, and help keep guest accommodations and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in maintenance, construction, landscaping, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance work orders and service requests.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and facilities.
• Assist with basic repairs and maintenance projects.
• Conduct regular inspections of resort facilities and report deficiencies.
• Assist with room maintenance and guest accommodations preparation.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a safe condition.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

General Description:

Reportingto the Director of Maintenance, this position is responsible for completingroutine maintenance tasks, responding to work orders, performing preventativemaintenance, and assisting with repairs throughout the property.

The successful candidate will be a dependable, hands-on individual who enjoys working in a team environment andtakes pride in maintaining a safe and well-kept property.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Required

• High school diploma orequivalent
• Previous experience inmaintenance, construction, landscaping, property maintenance, or a relatedfield
• Basic knowledge of buildingmaintenance and repair practices
• Ability to safely operatehand and power tools
• Strong work ethic andattention to detail
• Ability to workindependently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift, carry, andmove materials and equipment
• Valid driver's license

Assets

• Experience in a hotel,resort, or hospitality environment
• Experience performingpreventative maintenance
• Knowledge of basicplumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical repair
• Experience with poolchemical handling and maintenance
• Experience with HVACsystems
