Job summary

Entrust Corporation in Ottawa is offering an 8-month Intern – Software Development hybrid role to gain hands-on experience in identity-centric security solutions. You will work with senior developers on Entrust Identity as a Service, designing features in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript and React, and building tests and infrastructure.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in CS/Software Eng, have completed two years of study, and can commit to full-time 8-months starting January 4, 2027.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science or Software Engineering program; two years of coursework completed.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to coordinate within a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Design and code unit tests and test infrastructure in Java/JavaScript to verify functionality.
• Build with tools such as Gradle, Git, Jira, Confluence and other open source tools.
• Set up development environment using Spring/Spring Boot, Docker and AWS.
