Job summary

Socket.dev in Ontario seeks a dedicated OTA/PTA lab technician to support OTP clinical labs and placements. You will collaborate with program staff to ensure safe, efficient operations and maintain laboratory procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities include onboarding casual staff, coordinating with instructors, maintaining safety and organization, updating lab plans, and reporting progress. A two-year OTA/PTA diploma and CAOT/OSOT membership are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year OTA/PTA diploma required.
• CAOT or OSOT membership is mandatory.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• WHMIS/Hazardous materials training completed.

Responsibilities

• Acting as lab lead for casual/part-time technicians and onboarding.
• Consulting with course instructors and attending preparatory lab meetings.
• Ensuring student awareness of lab objectives and evaluation techniques.
• Reviewing Blackboard lessons and updating course shells as directed.
• Maintaining lab safety, cleanliness and organization.
