Job summary

University Health Network's Toronto Rehabilitation Institute – E.W. Bickle Centre seeks a permanent full-time OTA/PTA to join the CCC, TCU, Geriatrics, MSK and Multisystem Rehab teams. You will support OT/PT, assist in functional mobility, supervise patients, ensure supplies and equipment are ready, and participate in meetings.

Requires post-secondary OT/PT assistant credential and CPR. Hours 8:30am to 4:30pm, with weekday and rotational weekend shifts; compensation CAD 33.92–34.42 per hour,

Qualifications

• Completion of a community college certificate program.
• Completion of a recognized post secondary Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist Assistant diploma and/or Rehabilitation Assistant certificate program.
• Up to one year of relevant acute care experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Supports OT and PT by handling clinical duties and cognitive treatment; assists with equipment.
• Assists Therapists in functional mobility of patients.
• Independently supervising patients during treatment activities.
• Ensures clinical supplies are available for sessions.
• Maintains treatment areas and equipment; orders supplies.
• Participates in departmental and hospital meetings and cross-functional duties.
