Job description

Exciting opportunity in Montreal for a bilingual candidate to support loading dock operations in the printing industry. Work onsite in a casual environment with regular daytime hours. Ideal for someone organized, physically active, and customer-focused with experience in shipping, handling, and basic print production.

What is in it for you:

  • Hourly salary of $18.30.
  • 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
  • Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
  • Onsite work in a dynamic environment.
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, including a 1-hour lunch break and two 10-minute breaks (8 working hours per day).
  • Friday: 7:00 am to 12:30 pm, including one 10-minute break (5.5 working hours).
  • Dress code: Flexible (jeans are appropriate).

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload packages by hand or with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
  • Inspect received packages for damages or irregularities.
  • Review and ensure shipment accuracy, refusing incorrect packages.
  • Maintain clean and debris-free dock areas for safety.
  • Perform backfill duties for absent coworkers.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
  • Set up and operate high-level mail equipment in a high-speed, high-volume environment.
  • Perform basic digital print production.
  • Complete and maintain logs and month-end reports.

What you will need to succeed:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Bilingual in English and French to support clients in both languages.
  • Strong knowledge of English for communication with clients and staff across provinces and the U.S.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Experience in a customer-facing or customer service role.
  • Excellent attitude toward customers and additional requests.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to identify and implement practical solutions.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to walk long distances within an office environment.
