Summa Architectural & Structural Metal Inc. is seeking an experienced metal fabricator for on-site work in a structured manufacturing setting. The role involves inspecting, cutting, forming and assembling metal components to precise specifications.

Applicants should have 5+ years in metal fabrication, proficiency with various metalworking machines, and the ability to read technical drawings. A safety-focused mindset and teamwork are essential for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more experience in metal fabrication.
• On-site work required at physical location; no remote option.
• Proficient in reading specifications and following verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications.
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or shape metal stock into parts or products.
• Document work completed.
• Lay out, set up and operate light or heavy metalworking machines.
• Operate welding/soldering equipment to join parts.
• Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
• Transport material to work area manually or with crane/hoist.

TASKS

• Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment

• Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines
• Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together
• Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
• Select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist
