Customer Service • Order Address Changes
Remote | Full-time or part-time | 30.50–32.25 per hour
Customers sometimes notice an address error after an order is submitted. This position handles the first administrative steps of that correction: find the order, read the requested change, check its current status, and update or refer the request under the employer’s instructions. You will not guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has moved beyond the permitted stage.
A message saying “send it to my other address” is not enough to update a shipment. Ask for the information the employer requires, using its approved process. If an order has already been sent onward, record the request and route it to the team able to determine the next step. A customer deserves a factual update rather than a promise you cannot verify.
Timing determines what an address request can accomplish. You would check the order status before offering the customer's new details to the fulfilment team. If dispatch has already begun, record the request and pass it to the person who can explain the available options. A change to one order should not automatically alter the customer's account profile. Repeat the approved delivery details back in writing where the process calls for it, and log what was requested, what was confirmed and what remains open.
When a change is allowed and authorized, enter the details carefully and check the saved address field by field. If another colleague makes the update, confirm its status in the online record before telling the customer it is complete. Keep the original message attached to the order so a later inquiry can be answered from the history.
This job brings customer service and office administration together. Written replies should be polite, specific, and honest about what can be confirmed. The record needs to support the next person who works on the order. Experience in either field is helpful, but neither is required. Newcomers are welcome; the hiring team can teach its order status and change procedures.
An address correction may come through several channels. A customer could send an email and then use an online account form. Check the current order history before applying either update so the same change is not entered twice. If the two requests differ, ask which address the customer intended under the employer’s procedure. Do not choose the most recent message solely because it came later. The record should make the confirmed destination and any unresolved question clear to the team handling shipment.
This is a remote role and may be part-time or full-time; actual hours and the employer’s order-change rules must be confirmed for the opening.
A helpful customer reply should state whether the correction is confirmed, awaiting information, or under review. Those statuses are more useful than a vague assurance that the team is “working on it.” This work calls for precise status updates.
If you have checked an address, corrected a customer record, or explained a pending change, that experience can be relevant. Applicants without order-system experience are welcome when they can demonstrate careful communication. You are applying for administrative support, not for authority to override shipping decisions.
The employer will confirm the exact point in its order process when an address can be changed.
