Job summary

Mr Apple (Internal Jobs) is seeking an experienced Orchard Foreman to lead daily orchard operations and drive premium apple production. You’ll work hands-on with a skilled team in a collaborative environment, setting the standard for quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring proven horticulture experience, strong coaching ability, and knowledge of orchard technologies. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within our values-led business in Ontario.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale horticulture and orchard operations.
• Ability to coach and supervise a team.
• Knowledge of orchard technologies and systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with machine operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of pest control, disease management, and chemical use.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily orchard operations to maximise efficiency and quality outcomes
• Implement orchard husbandry programmes as directed by the Orchard Manager
• Ensure all orchard activities comply with relevant legislation
• Supervise, motivate, and develop orchard staff, fostering a high-performing team culture
• Champion a strong health and safety culture in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Monitor orchard performance and proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement
