Dundurn Dental Specialty in Hamilton, Ontario, seeks a Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for a flexible part-time role. The surgeon will help develop the clinic’s surgical program, work with referring dentists and other specialists, and contribute to a growing specialty practice.

This commission-based independent contractor opportunity is not a traditional employee role, with a couple of days per month to start and potential to expand as referrals increase.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and surgically manage complex oral and maxillofacial conditions.
• Perform surgical extractions, implants, bone grafting and related procedures.
• Provide sedation services in line with safety standards.
• Collaborate with referring dentists and specialists on treatment plans.
• Educate patients on options, risks and expected outcomes.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.

We’re Hiring an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon – Part-Time | Hamilton, ON

Dundurn Dental Specialty is looking for a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our beautiful new specialty clinic in Hamilton, Ontario.

This is a flexible part-time opportunity, initially offering a couple of days per month, with the opportunity to grow into additional days as the clinic and referral network continue to expand.

Dundurn Dental Specialty is a modern, multidisciplinary specialty clinic designed to support complex care, advanced surgical services, and a seamless referral experience.

Conveniently located near McMaster Children’s Hospital and Highway 403, the clinic features advanced imaging, sedation capabilities, and a purpose‑built environment for specialty dentistry.

The Opportunity

As our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, you will play an important role in developing the clinic’s surgical program while working closely with referring dentists and other dental specialists.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and surgically manage complex oral and maxillofacial conditions
• Perform surgical extractions, impacted tooth removal, bone grafting, implant placement, and related procedures
• Provide appropriate sedation services in accordance with regulatory and patient safety standards
• Collaborate with referring dentists and specialists on comprehensive treatment plans
• Educate patients on treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation
