Job summary

Huron Consulting Group Inc. in Canada (Montreal) seeks an Associate with 2–4 years of experience to analyze requirements, define functional specs and lead project workstreams across Hyperion Planning/PBCS/EPBCS and Essbase.

Strong Excel/SmartView skills and willingness to travel are essential. The role offers world‑class training, mentoring of juniors, and exposure to strategic growth initiatives while delivering analytics, reporting and client‑facing presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in analyzing requirements, writing functional specifications, conducting tests, troubleshooting issues and interfacing with business users.
• At least 2 years' experience with Hyperion Planning/PBCS/EPBCS and Essbase.
• 1-2 years' experience owning project workstreams with little to no supervision.
• Extensive knowledge of Excel, Essbase Spreadsheet Add-in and SmartView.
• Experience with automation scripts (MaxL) and integration of full Cloud EPM Suite.
• Experience with Planning & Essbase in both development and administrative roles.
• Strong analytical skills used to translate information from meetings into documentation for participants and teams.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to own project workstreams through self‑discipline for planning and organizing tasks with little supervision.
• A desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to work with client or internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project workstreams and manage work plans.
• Conduct analytics, reporting and client interface/presentations.
• Collaborate with client staff and leadership while mentoring junior staff.
• Contribute to solution design, documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of project milestones.
