Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a Hyperion Essbase Developer/Analyst in Toronto for a hybrid role (2 days in office). You will design, develop, and maintain Essbase Calc Scripts, MaxL, and data loads, while building reports with Smart View and supporting security and metadata management.

The ideal candidate has about 2 years of hands-on Essbase experience, strong analytical skills, and a solid grounding in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase (On-Premises and Cloud)
• Strong technical expertise in Essbase Calc Scripts, MaxL, MDX, FDMEE / Data Integration
• Experience with Smart View reporting and dashboard development
• Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Excellent communication within a team environment

Responsibilities

Hyperion Essbase Developer/Analyst

Location: Toronto: Hybrid 2 days a week in office

Job Summary

We are looking for a Hyperion Essbase Developer/Analyst with approximately 2 years of hands‑on experience in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions, with a strong focus on Essbase and data integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Essbase Calc Scripts, MaxL scripts, and business rules.
• Design and manage data load rules, mappings, and ETL processes for loading data into Essbase/Planning applications.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Smart View and related reporting tools.
• Manage metadata, including dimensions and hierarchies, and administer security provisioning.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot system and performance issues, and optimize Hyperion environment performance.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase (On‑Premises and Cloud platforms).

Strong technical expertise in:
