Job Description:

• Lead and execute end-to-end migrations from on-premises Oracle Exadata systems to Oracle Autonomous Database on Azure.
• Administer and manage user accounts, roles, and privileges in compliance with security policies.
• Oversee tablespace and storage management, ensuring efficient space utilization and scalability.
• Perform advanced SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Provision and configure virtual machines (VMs) to support migration and operational workloads.
• Utilize Oracle Data Pump and related tools for data export/import during migration processes.
• Configure and optimize Azure-managed disk storage, focusing on performance (IOPS) and cost-efficiency.
• Leverage Oracle Cloud Migration Services and other utilities for seamless database transitions.
• Conduct and document data mapping to ensure integrity and consistency across systems.
• Collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams for architecture alignment and integration.
• Monitor and maintain database performance, availability, and compliance post-migration.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle infrastructure components including ASM, Clusterware, and Oracle Grid Infrastructure, with experience supporting Exadata deployments
• Skilled in planning, creating, resizing, and monitoring tablespaces for optimized performance, along with efficient space utilization strategies.
• Practical expertise in configuring and tuning Azure-managed disks for Oracle workloads, ensuring optimal IOPS performance and cost-effective storage tiering.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oracle database administration, with hands-on expertise in Exadata environments.
• Solid understanding of Oracle and Azure cloud ecosystems, and best practices in cross-cloud data movement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools for provisioning and database management.
• Strong documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated experience in migrating databases to Oracle Autonomous DB on Azure
