Job summary

Codernation Technologies is seeking an experienced Oracle CC&B / CCS Test Lead to drive QA initiatives across CC&B and CCS platforms. You will lead end-to-end testing, collaborate with functional leads and Oracle delivery teams, and ensure production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall test strategy and test plans for CC&B and CCS workstreams.
• Develop comprehensive test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and system testing phases.
• Create detailed test estimations, resource plans, and testing schedules.
• Establish and maintain testing metrics, KPIs, and status reporting frameworks.
• Lead manual and automated testing to ensure quality and usability.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Eggplant Functional and Eggplant DAI.
• Execute functional testing and drive regression testing across releases.
• Oversee smoke testing to verify build stability before deeper cycles.
• Validate CC&B/CCS functionality in customer management, billing, payments, and tariff validation.
• Coordinate UAT activities and provide go-live readiness support.
• Prepare defect lifecycle management in JIRA and drive resolutions with teams.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle CC&B / CCS Test Lead to join our team and drive quality assurance initiatives for enterprise utility implementations. In this role, you will lead end-to-end testing activities across Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) and Customer Cloud Service (CCS) platforms. You will work closely with functional leads, developers, business stakeholders, and the Oracle delivery team to ensure the delivered solution meets business requirements, quality gates are met at every stage, and the system is production-ready.

This is a high-impact role for a domain expert who understands the complexities of utility customer information systems and can drive structured, evidence-based quality assurance across the full testing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall test strategy and test plans for CC&B and CCS workstreams
• Develop comprehensive test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and system testing phases
• Create detailed test estimations, resource plans, and testing schedules

Test Execution & Automation

• Lead manual and automated testing of enterprise applications to ensure product quality and usability
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Eggplant Functional and Eggplant DAI
• Execute functional testing to ensure application quality and business requirements are met
• Drive regression testing efforts to validate system stability across releases
• Oversee smoke testing to verify build stability before deeper testing cycles

Domain-Specific Testing

• Validate Oracle Utilities CC&B and CCS functionality across key business areas including:
• Customer Management – 360° view of customer data and interactions
• Account Management – account setup, maintenance, and lifecycle
• Service Agreements – service contract validation and management
• Meter to Cash – end-to-end billing cycle validation
• Billing – rate application, bill calculation, and invoice generation
• Payments – payment processing, adjustments, and reconciliation
• Credit & Collection – credit management and collections workflows
• Rate & Tariff Validation – rate structure verification and tariff application

Integration Testing

• Validate integrations between CC&B/CCS and external systems including:
• ERP systems – financial and operational data synchronization
• Payment gateways – third-party payment processor integration
• Third-party utility applications – external system interoperability
• Manage end-to-end defect lifecycle using JIRA
• Perform root cause analysis and drive defect resolution across functional and technical teams
• Prepare comprehensive test reports, status updates, and release readiness assessments
• Present testing status, defect aging summaries, and open risk items to program leadership

UAT & Go-Live Support

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases with test data preparation, execution, and issue resolution
• Coordinate UAT activities with business stakeholders and end-users
• Provide go-live readiness assessments and post-implementation support

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Test Automation
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle CC&B (Customer Care and Billing) applications
• Strong experience in the Utilities domain
• Deep understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies
• Hands‑on experience with Eggplant Functional and Eggplant DAI automation tools
• Strong background in functional, integration, regression, and system testing
• Experience with defect management and test case management using JIRA
• Expertise in test strategy development, estimation, and test planning
• Experience with Oracle Utilities CC&B and CCS functional domains including customer management, account management, billing, payments, credit & collection, and rate/tariff validation
• Knowledge of Meter to Cash processes and utility billing cycles
• Experience with system integrations including ERP systems, payment gateways, and third‑party utility applications
• Proven experience supporting UAT and providing status reporting to stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF)
• Experience with Oracle Utilities C2M (Customer to Meter)
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
• Experience with additional test management tools beyond JIRA
• Experience leading testing initiatives independently while collaborating with distributed teams
