Job summary

Huron Optometric Centres Clinton is seeking an Optometric Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Clinton, Ontario. The role involves scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and performing pre-testing and imaging as part of comprehensive eye exams.

You will educate patients on eye care products, assist with insurance billing, and help maintain a clean, efficient clinical environment while supporting our Doctors Vision Group team.

About the Role

• Scheduling appointments and managing patient records accurately and efficiently
• Conducting pre-testing, diagnostic imaging, specialty testing, and full work-ups including medical and ocular histories, visual acuities, and instilling dilating drops
• Educating patients on doctor-recommended supplements, eye drops, and ocular hygiene products
• Handling insurance billing and processing payments
• Maintaining a clean and organized clinical space
