FYidoctors in Vancouver, BC is seeking an Optician for our Broadway and Kerrisdale clinics. This full-time role focuses on delivering exceptional eyewear experiences and patient care in a busy, collaborative setting.

The position is a fixed-term contract until November 2027, offering 30–40 hours per week and on-site operations, Monday through Saturday. BC-registered optician with strong tech skills and a passion for patient service encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in an optical setting.
• Registered Optician in British Columbia.
• Proficient with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients.

Description

Our FYidoctors - Vancouver - Broadway and FYidoctors - Vancouver - Kerrisdale clinics are looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as an Optician to fill an existing vacancy!

In this role, you’ll enhance the lives of our patients every single day, delivering exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a dynamic, rewarding, and collaborative environment. Bring your skills, enthusiasm, and passion for eye care to a team that’s dedicated to advancing eye health and making a meaningful difference.

This position is a full-time fixed-term role until November 2027, working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday.

What You’ll Do

• Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring optimal value and quality
• Guide patients in selecting eyewear that combines style with optimal vision
• Perform eyewear repairs and adjustments to ensure proper fit and comfort
• Coach and train team members to enhance their skills, performance, and knowledge to ensure consistent execution of optical standards and processes
• Support retail operations and contribute to overall clinic success
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required

What You Bring

• Minimum one year of experience in an optical setting
• Registered Optician in British Columbia
• Proficient with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences
