FYidoctors Surrey clinic is hiring an Optical Associate to provide exceptional eyewear experiences, take prescriptions, and assist with frame fitting and measurements. The role thrives in a dynamic, patient‑centered environment and involves collaboration with a professional team.

You will engage with patients across in-person, phone, and email channels, contributing to smooth clinic operations and accurate billing while supporting ongoing training and development.

• Previous optical or retail experience is asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients in person, by phone, and by email.
• Educate patients on eyewear options and assist with frame selection.
• Interpret optical prescriptions from the optometrist.
• Take frame and facial measurements and ensure proper fit.
• Coordinate appointments and prepare prescription printouts.
• Handle billing and payments for patients, insurers, and third parties.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations with additional duties as needed.

Job description

Our FYidoctors Surreyclinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as an Optical Associate to fill an existing vacancy!

In this role, you’ll enhance the lives of our patients every single day, delivering exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a dynamic, rewarding, and collaborative environment.

This position is a full-time role working30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email
• Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance
• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist
• Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments
• Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties
• Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required
