Job summary

Agilus by Synergie in Ottawa is seeking an Optical Assembly Technician (Evening) to support engineers with setup, calibration, rework and quality testing in a manufacturing environment. You will assist with repairs, installs and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical PCB equipment, and participate in preventative maintenance.

The role requires 1–2 years in manufacturing or engineering, a 2-year technical diploma preferred, and legal work status in Canada.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred and considered an asset.
  • 2-year Technical Diploma is preferred and considered an asset.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must be willing to conduct a background check.
  • High School Diploma, minimum.

  • Identifies and troubleshoots malfunctioning manufacturing equipment.

Optical Assembly Technician (Evening)

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Optical Assembly Technician (Evening) in the electro-mechanical assembly industry in Ottawa, Ontario. Our client is hiring an Optical Assembly Technician with previous experience and working knowledge of a manufacturing environment. This individual will assist Engineers with set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

Responsibilities
  • Repairs and maintains electro-mechanical PCB manufacturing equipment
  • Installs and maintains new or more complex manufacturing equipment
  • Identifies and troubleshoots malfunctioning manufacturing equipment
  • Contributes to semi-routine analyses and documentation updates, relating to materials management, manufacturing, or test processes
  • Participates in preventative maintenance according to detailed specifications and schedules
Requirements

Total rewards

$20.00 - $21.00 hourly

Evening Shift from 4 pm - 12 am (Monday to Friday)

10% evening shift premium on top of base rate

3 - 8 weeks of training (Training takes place from 8 am - 4 pm)

Weekly pay including 4% vacation pay
