Job summary

Kelson Mechanical Inc. in GTA is seeking an HVAC Refrigeration Technician – Journeyman to join a leading service team.

You will handle construction installation, maintenance and repairs of HVAC and refrigeration systems from installation to end-of-life, ensuring quality and safety. A strong candidate will have 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Being in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades.
• 5+ years as a commercial HVAC service technician; willingness to continue education.
• Experience with refrigeration piping/construction and service preferred.
• Understanding of advanced HVAC, refrigeration, and heating principles.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work in confined spaces; certification in confined space preferred.
• Excellent time management and autonomy.
• Strong interpersonal skills to translate technical terms to end-user.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs. Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with refrigeration piping / construction as well as service (maintenance & break-fix troubleshooting) preferred
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating, boiler systems
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
• Ability to work in confined spaces – certification in confined space preferred
• Excellent time management – as with autonomy comes greater responsibility
