Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) in Saskatoon is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant for the Ophthalmology Specialty Clinic - Ambulatory Eye Centre. This casual, permanent position involves assisting in ocular diagnostics and imaging, under the ophthalmology team.

Minimum 12 months ophthalmic assistant experience and an Ophthalmic Assistant Certificate of Achievement are required. Travel not indicated; Day shifts with a flexible casual schedule.

Qualifications

  • Twelve (12) months previous experience working as an Ophthalmic Assistant.
  • Ophthalmic Assistant Certificate of Achievement completed.

  • Provides photographic services and documentation to assist in diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders.
  • Assists in testing and examining patients by performing diagnostic, therapeutic and technical ophthalmic procedures.
