Responsibilities Tasks
  • Operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand
  • Use sewing guides and tension devices
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
  • Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages
