Convergint Technologies LLC in Fort McMurray, AB is seeking Facilities Building Operators for the Suncor Firebag In-Situ site. This FIFO 14/14 rotation role involves maintaining and operating building systems, ensuring safety and compliance, and delivering reliable service to clients and colleagues.

The ideal candidate is a certified 4th Class Power Engineer with 5+ years of building operations experience, capable of reading drawings, isolating piping, and managing heating plants while upholding

Qualifications

• Completion of 4th Class Power Engineering certificate from an accredited Canadian institution.
• Registered as a 4th Class Power Engineer with ABSA.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial and/or industrial Building Operator experience.
• Ability to read and understand building floor plans and design drawings.
• Experience isolating/de-isolating mechanical piping components for heating, cooling and utility systems.
• Completion of OSSA Basic Safety Orientation or Common Safety Orientation required.

This FIFO 14/14 rotation role involves maintaining and operating building systems, ensuring safety and compliance, and providing excellent service to clients and colleagues. The ideal candidate is a certified 4th Class Power Engineer with strong building operations experience and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

What You’ll Need

• Completion of 4th Class Power Engineering certificate from an accredited Canadian Institution
• Registered as a 4th Class Power Engineer with ABSA
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial and/or industrial Building Operator experience
• Experience isolating/de-isolating mechanical piping components for heating, cooling and utility systems
• Experience operating building systems, including heating plants
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand building floor plans and design drawings
• Strong understanding of OHS regulations and procedures
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks with minimal direction
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
• Completion of OSSA Basic Safety Orientation or Common Safety Orientation required
