Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. is seeking a Plant Operator to manage and maintain our hydroelectric facility based in Rivière Saint-Jean or Clarke City, QC. You will monitor equipment, optimize power generation, and respond to alarms to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of electromechanical experience, a diploma in Electromechanics, and bilingual French/English communication. This on-site role offers stability, safety focus, and opportunities for career development

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electromechanic or in electrical systems, automation, industrial maintenance.
• Diploma in Electromechanics or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Bilingual French and English, both spoken and written, required for coordination with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Operate the hydroelectric facility as the Plant Operator, ensuring proper monitoring and maintenance.
• Optimize the performance and power generation of the hydroelectric facility.
• Perform daily, monthly, and annual maintenance and repair work on plant equipment, buildings, and site infrastructure.
• Investigate and respond to alarms generated by the hydroelectric facility, taking all necessary actions to resolve issues and minimize downtime (24/7 availability required while on duty).
• Oversee and support specialized contractors during maintenance activities and major projects.
• Serve as a point of contact with municipal and government authorities, stakeholders, and visitors to the facility, as required.
• Apply and ensure compliance with internal procedures, as well as health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations, by all employees and contractors under their responsibility.
• Operate certain heavy equipment.

Your day-to-day!

Your skills, our requirements!

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electromechanic, in electrical systems, automation, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Diploma in Electromechanics or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Good physical condition.
• Flexibility and versatility.
• Proficiency in using a laptop computer and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems is considered an asset.
• Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) is required to ensure ongoing collaboration with various stakeholders outside Québec on a regular basis.

• This position is an O3 level.
