About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Operations Support Engineer to join us.

Duties and Responsibilities: The role involves providing first and second level technical support for a third shift, including customer help, problem triage, escalation, and communication within the team.

  • Logging into servers and devices, primarily Microsoft Server 2012 and 2008, following documented instructions.
  • Accessing data center devices and executing tasks based on run books.
  • Triaging technical issues with technical aptitude.
  • Administering Microsoft Server 2012, 2008 R2, and Linux (RHEL 6/7, CentOS, Suse, Ubuntu) operating systems, including restarts, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Communicating effectively with customers and data center staff via in person, phone, and email interactions.
  • Following verbal instructions from technical personnel.
  • Working collaboratively in an operations center environment.
  • Opening and managing trouble calls, driving issues to resolution.
  • Using data center monitoring tools like SCOM.
  • Documenting procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • At least 3 years of operations support experience.
  • Over 1 year of experience with a federal agency or contractor.
  • More than 3 years of IT experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Public Trust background check or clearance.
  • Familiarity with IIS, Apache, WebLogic, JBOSS, Enterprise Storage (HP EVA, Hitachi), Microsoft Server Clustering, Hyper-V, VMWare ESX, Commvault, and ITIL Foundation Certification (plus additional certifications is a plus).

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
