Job summary

CELINE in Vancouver is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support day-to-day operations and improve processes across stores. You will implement brand guidelines, lead projects end-to-end, and cascade solutions to store teams during a one-year contract from August 2026 to August 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Identify improvements and reporting to the Store Manager.
  • Support the Store Manager to drive best practice and processes.
  • Identify gaps in store operations knowledge and develop solutions.
  • Conduct trainings for new hires and training on the store operating system Cegid.
  • Support the team with stock loss targets by implementing new policies and procedures.
  • Drive best practices concerning stockroom optimization and operational excellence.
  • Act as project lead for operational projects, supporting the store and HQ during launch.
  • Educate the team on key operational processes related to product flow management and daily store operations.
  • Collaborate on stock optimization analysis, reporting, and forward planning.
  • Support the CRM team and Store Manager to cascade actions and ensure client data is captured and qualitative.
  • Develop a forecasting tool to assist in accurate business planning for sales, stock, and headcount/payroll projections.
  • Own vendor/supplier relationships, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve services.
  • Implement commercial solutions to organize stock, improve fetch times, logical stockroom flows, and correct storage.
  • Manage the process and compliance of recording gifts received and given to/from clients.
  • Manage Health and Safety compliance in all stores in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Review product lines weekly and maximize replenishment potential, challenging the Merchandising team to maximize market potential.
  • Monitor all aspects of P&L to reduce costs and improve store efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Inventory Control team to keep negative on hand reporting current, including weekly cycle counts and yearly inventory.
  • Hold responsibility for facilities in the store.

About the Role

As Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations and improving processes to support store teams. You will be instrumental in implementing brand guidelines and providing solutions that create value for customer service and retail operations.

This position is a one-year temporary contract from August 2026 to August 2027. It reports to the Store Manager and requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to lead and execute projects end to end and cascade to the teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify key improvements and operational efficiencies to protect product assets and provide transparent reporting to the Store Manager.
  • Support the Store Manager to drive best practice and optimum processes.
  • Identify gaps in store operations knowledge and develop solutions.
  • Conduct trainings for new hires and follow up on training for the store operating system Cegid.
  • Support the team with stock loss targets by implementing new policies and procedures and serve as the first point of contact for stock management and replenishment.
  • Drive best practices concerning stockroom optimization and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' retail experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing people.
Competencies
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong team player with high motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of U.S. retail laws, security, and Health and Safety legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Passion for customer service and sales floor focus.
  • Excellent at working and delivering against deadlines, able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize for self and the team, multitask, and proactively tackle issues.
  • Effective communication with all internal and external customers at all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to work retail schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Languages

Foreign languages a plus.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from $25 to $29 per hour. The rate offered will depend on candidate's relevant skills and experience.
