Job summary

4Refuel Canada LP. is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Bedford, NS to plan daily and weekly workloads and lead the operational team toward revenue growth, productivity, and high customer satisfaction.

The role supports integrity, diversity, and delivering results in a busy mobile refuelling environment. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm, with rotating on-call coverage after hours and on weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work extended and flexible hours; afternoons/evenings/weekends.
• Valid and clean Class 3 or 1 with Air Brake license, required.
• Experience in transportation/distribution/courier industry.
• Minimum 3-5 years' supervisory experience.
• Repair Fleet Maintenance experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily routing and dispatch operations to ensure efficient scheduling, optimal resource utilization, and on-time service delivery.
• Coordinate and manage dispatch activities, including route planning, workload balancing, and real-time schedule adjustments to meet customer and operational requirements.
• Monitor route performance and fleet productivity, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with drivers, operations teams, and customers to resolve routing, scheduling, and service issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Develop and maintain contingency plans to address service disruptions, emergency situations, and changing operational demands.
• Ensure daily and weekly productivity and department targets are met or exceeded.
• Deliver prompt and efficient resolution and recovery of customer inquiries and complaints to improve overall customer satisfaction.
• Maintain and monitor all appropriate reports according to standards.
• Develop and implement new business strategies for creating or improving processes and procedures to improve corporate performance.
• Monitor departmental performance against goals to ensure progress and corrective action where needed.
• Meet regularly with department heads/business unit leaders; facilitates resolution of issues between units.
