Job summary

Pursuit is a hospitality and attractions company offering world-class experiences across iconic destinations. This full-time, year-round role in Banff focuses on maintaining lift systems and facilities to ensure safe, smooth guest experiences.

Responsibilities include preventive lift maintenance, building systems upkeep, and using maintenance software, while upholding excellent customer service and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Millwright journeyman status or equivalent is required.
• Electrical knowledge including 24VDC and PLC troubleshooting is needed.
• Lift operations and maintenance experience is essential.
• Building maintenance or construction background is preferred.
• Fall Arrest certifications or ability to obtain; safety training is valued.
• Proven history of safe work practices in industrial settings.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional conduct under pressure.
• Proficiency with computers and maintenance systems is an asset.
• First Aid training and a valid driver’s license are assets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by following safety procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance of lift equipment and related duties; inspections and gondola servicing.
• Operate gondola lift per CSA Z98-19 code under management direction.
• Maintain building facilities including HVAC and sanitary equipment maintenance.
• Complete work using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Ensure guest interactions are friendly and professional.
• Willing to contribute to all areas of operations to support teammates.
• Lift >50lbs, work at heights, use hand and power tools, and operate mechanical equipment as required.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by adhering to all safety procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance of lift equipment and other lift maintenance related duties such as but not limited to daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and gondola servicing
• Under the direction of management, maintain and operate the gondola lift as per the CSA Z98-19 code
• Perform preventative maintenance of building facilities such as but not limited to daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of building equipment, and preventive maintenance of HVAC and sanitary equipment
• Complete and manage work using a computerized maintenance management system
• Ensures that each guest interaction is friendly and professional
• Willingness to contribute to all areas of operations to support teammates as required
• Duties will require the need to lift equipment over 50lbs, work at heights, use hand & power tools, and operate mechanical equipment

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Millwright journeyman status or equivalent
• Electrical knowledge and experience, 24VDC, PLC, basic troubleshooting
• Lift operations and lift maintenance experience
• Building maintenance or construction experience
• Fall Arrest certifications or ability to complete Equipment operation experience, or ability to learn
• Proven history of safe work practices
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to excel and perform professionally under stress
• Computer knowledge and experience an asset
• First Aid Training and Driver’s license an asset
