Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

The Operations Manager is responsible for the operational leadership and coordination of municipal recreation facilities, parks, and recreation assets. Through the leadership of the Supervisor of Facilities & Assets and the Supervisor of Parks & Recreation Assets, the position oversees service delivery, asset management, maintenance programs, capital renewal initiatives, operational planning, and health and safety compliance. The Operations Manager ensures municipal assets are safe, reliable, sustainable, and responsive to community needs while providing operational support and leadership on priority initiatives, complex issues, and service continuity requirements.

• Overseas operational scheduling, facility utilization, and maintenance coordination to optimize service delivery and asset availability.
• Provides operational leadership and technical expertise in the planning, design, development, and implementation of new recreation amenities and infrastructure projects.
• Develops and manages operational budgets, monitors expenditures, and supports long-term financial planning and asset replacement strategies.

• Responds to public inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner

• Performs other duties as assigned or required by the Director.

Working Conditions:

Incumbent may be required to work non-traditional hours including days, evenings, weekend, and holidays. The work may be carried out in various locations and/or Town Facilities.

This is a salaried, full-time, permanent position.
Salary Range: Min $92,076, Med $110,568, Max $128,906
