Job summary

• Degree in Emergency Management, Social Sciences, Business, Natural Resource Management or related discipline.
• Experience managing people and resources.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement is an asset.
• Experience in Emergency Management/Incident Management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Provincial Emergency Operations Centre (PEOC).
• Ensure PEOC readiness, activation and effective functioning during emergencies.
• Coordinate provincial resources and response efforts during emergencies.
• Develop and implement PEOC policies, SOPs and training programs.
• Oversee the provincial public alerting system and 24/7 on-call program for emergency communications.
• Lead budget planning and expenditure control for the Emergency Services Program.
