Job summary

T-Lane Transportation in Abbotsford, BC is seeking an Operations & Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team today. You will manage authorities, certificates, carrier packages, insurance documentation and renewals while coordinating between brokerage and dispatch to source loads.

Join a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy, teamwork and proactive problem solving. The role emphasizes cross-border shipments, reporting margins, and maintaining SOPs in our Canadian operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics or a related operational role.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation operations and Canadian shipping practices.
  • Experience working with brokerage, dispatch, carriers and customers.
  • Strong administrative, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Experience with TMW and Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Experience with U.S. shipments, customs documentation and carrier compliance is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain authorities, certificates, carrier packages, insurance documentation and annual renewals
  • Coordinate information between brokerage and dispatch, including rating and sourcing loads as required
  • Pre-audit dispatches prior to invoicing and assist with permits and pilot requirements
  • Prepare management reporting on margins and interline activity, including bi-weekly Interliner Analysis
  • Monitor COD shipments and ensure payment is received prior to delivery
  • Complete customs documentation and monitor U.S. shipments
  • Manage DAWG communications and monitor inbound operational emails
  • Support IT and system issues, including troubleshooting, submitting tickets and coordinating with the IT team on new implementations
  • Oversee the Order Entry team, monitor the order inbox and provide operational support as required
  • Manage carrier prequalifications, documentation and new customer registrations within required systems
  • Issue and maintain SOPs and ensure operational procedures remain current
  • Manage trailer rentals in TMW, maintain tracking records and complete bi-weekly reconciliations

Job description

T-Lane Transportation provides a full complement of transportation and logistics services, including truck, jack and slide, specialized industrial moving services, special transportation projects, hazardous and oversized freight, warehousing and yard space, and continuous shipment tracking. T-Lane also maintains a number of industry certifications, including C-TPAT, COR and FAST, enabling us to handle specialized shipments that many of our competitors cannot. Headquartered in Edmonton, AB, with additional terminals across Canada, our fleet boasts over 250 specialized pieces of equipment.

This position can be based in Abbotsford, British Columbia. We are looking for a highly motivated Operations & Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team TODAY!
