Job summary

Boart Longyear Ltd. in Red Lake, Ontario, is seeking a Project Manager for the Percussive Drilling Services team on a fly-in/fly-out schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off; on-site Monday to Friday option for local candidates.

We offer an hourly wage of $54.43/hr with up to $50/hr bonus and a $10,000 sign-on/retention incentive distributed after 6 months and after 1 year of service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years underground mining experience.
• Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core required.
• Project Management experience required.
• Experience leading a team of 30+ people.
• Valid Canada driver's license.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and communicates activities between internal and external clients.
• Schedule crews and communicate daily project plans.
• Acts as the technical and content expert for the project.
• Analyzes, organizes, monitors and evaluates project area including financial analysis.
• Revises or creates procedures to improve workflow efficiency.
• Initiates cost reduction programs and prepares proposals and value propositions.
• Works with vendors and other third parties.
• Accountable for site safety and meeting targets.

Project Manager – Percussive Drilling Services

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Percussive Drilling Services team in Red Lake, Ontario. This is a Fly In Fly Out, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off position. If the successful candidate is willing to relocate, or is local to Red Lake, Monday to Friday is also an option.

Hourly Wage: $54.43/hr plus up to $50/hr bonus

Sign-on/Retention Bonus: $10,000 paid 50% after 6 months and 50% after 1 year of service

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and communicate activities and between internal & external clients
• Schedule crews and communicate daily project plans
• Acts as the technical and content expert for the project
• Analyzes, organizes, monitors and evaluates specified area including financial analysis
• Revises or creates procedures to improve efficiency of workflow.
• Initiates cost reduction programs, prepares proposals, and articulates product position, key benefits and value proposition
• Works with vendors and other third parties
• Accountable for the safety of all employees on site
• Accountable for meeting internal and external targets

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years underground mining experience
• Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core
• Project Management Experience
• Experience managing a team of more than 30 individuals
• Must have valid Canada Driver’s License
• Strong leadership and communication skills are a requirement for this position
• This is a hands‑on position that requires a decisive individual with a high level of initiative
• Experience operating and maintaining TH and ITH drills an asset
• Experience loading and blasting raises an asset

Typically requires a minimum of 2-5 years of directly related experience.
