The successful candidate will oversee daily drilling activities, coach staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with project management to meet schedules and budgets on site.

Qualifications

• Extensive drilling experience.
• First Line Underground Mine Supervisor core certification (#770121).
• JHSC certification required.
• Incident investigation certification.
• Proven leadership and coaching ability.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• MS Office (Word/Outlook/Excel) proficiency.
• First Aid/CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing coaching to develop your team.
• Coordinate and allocate work to meet drilling plans safely and efficiently.
• Complete and approve daily reports for payroll and invoicing.
• Provide technical advice to staff on drilling operations.
• Conduct daily shift meetings.
• Liaise with the Project Manager regarding progress.
• Lead safety leadership and risk assessments.
• Report hazards or injuries to client and management.
• Lead investigations of incidents and implement corrective actions.
