• Liaise with the Project Manager and/or Field Supervisor regarding progress.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and assist in risk assessments and job safety analyses.
• Report hazards or injuries to client and management immediately.
• Lead investigations of incidents and ensure timely corrective actions.

We are currently looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our team. Candidates with a demonstrated history of working to strict safety and quality standards in a supervisory capacity are strongly encouraged to apply.

Hourly Wage: $54.43/hr plus up to $40/hr bonus.

This posting is for our various sites across Ontario including Timmins & Red Lake.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing coaching to develop your team.
• Address any performance or conduct issues as they arise in a timely and respectful manner.
• Co‑ordinate and allocate work as required to meet drilling plans in the most cost effective/efficient way while meeting safety compliance requirements, including the co‑ordination of relief team members as required.
• Complete and approve daily reports to send to contracts administrators for payroll and client invoicing requirements.
• Provide technical advice to staff to effectively manage drilling operations.
• Conduct daily shift meetings.
• Liaise with the Project Manager and/or Field Supervisor regarding the progress of the drilling program.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and assist team members with the development of thorough risk assessments and job safety analysis.
• Report all safety hazards or workplace injury/illness to the client and management immediately.
• Lead investigations of all incidents / hazard management issues that occur in the work area and on shift and ensure effective corrective actions are identified, implemented and monitored in a timely and productive manner.

Position Qualifications

• Extensive drilling experience.
• Common Core for First Line Underground Mine Supervisor - #770121
• JHSC certified
• Incident investigation certification
• Proven leadership and coaching ability.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Strong ability to develop relationships with stakeholders of various levels.
• Good communication skills – written and oral
• Current Drivers License.
• Computer skills such as MS Office – Word, Outlook, Excel.
• First Aid/CPR required.
