Job summary

Veolia Water Tech North America is seeking a proactive Business Operations Improvement Lead to drive end-to-end process improvements across engineering and procurement projects in North America. You will act as internal consultant, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence, sustainable profit, and value for customers.

The role requires 5+ years in project management or strategic advisory, expertise in LEAN/Six Sigma, and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of Project Management, management consulting, or strategic advisory experience.
• 5+ years of process optimization, operations, change management or business management experience.
• Knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma and tools like process mapping, workflow diagrams, PDSA cycles.
• Proven experience communicating and facilitating workshops with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strategic, proactive problem solver with structured MECE approach.
• Executive presence with influencing skills and stakeholder management.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to ambiguity.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Identify, own, and implement initiatives that improve operational processes with sustained benefits realization, increasing quality and value.
• Act as an internal consultant to business leaders, translating complex operational challenges into actionable problem statements and solutions.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to establish business cases, project roadmaps and action plans.
• Facilitate cross-functional, cross-business teams to conceptualize and implement process/tool improvements.
• Drive operational excellence leveraging LEAN principles and agile delivery models.
• Management of improvement initiatives with alignment to stakeholders and emphasis on planning, data analysis, and communication.
• Apply best practices in implementation and change management to ensure adoption of improvements with impactful results.
• Ensure proper documentation and training on improvements and development/maintenance of procedures and controls.
• Provide project status updates and executive reporting with data storytelling.
