Job summary

CommerceLink Logistics is seeking a Class 1 driver to service regional Alberta routes, including the Sicamous switch, with a 3 days on/3 days off pattern. You will perform pickups, deliveries, and safety checks while maintaining compliance and customer service excellence.

Experience with mountain driving and knowledge of BC highways are essential; the role requires strong safety discipline and independent work habits. Calgary-based, full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Alberta Class 1 license required.
• Clean driving abstract and strong safety record.
• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 mountain driving experience.
• Previous mountain driving experience required.
• Knowledge of British Columbia highways and regional routes.
• Experience with dry van, reefer, and heater is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units safely on regional routes
• Perform timely pickup and delivery of freight across Alberta
• Complete pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections
• Ensure proper securement of all loads in compliance with safety regulations
• Maintain accurate electronic or paper logbooks (E-Logs preferred)
• Comply with Alberta and Canadian transportation regulations, including Hours of Service
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and updates
• Provide professional customer service at delivery and pickup locations
• Report any incidents, delays, or mechanical concerns promptly
• Follow all CommerceLink Logistics policies and safety procedures

Position Summary
