Job summary

Swish Group of Companies in Kingston, Ontario is seeking an Operations Assistant & Installer to support Operations, Customer Service, and Warehouse. You will install and maintain dispensers, assist with deliveries, inventory management, and fulfill orders for our cleaning supplies and equipment.

Qualified candidates have a valid G-class driver's license, basic plumbing/electrical experience, warehouse background, and solid computer and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Requires valid G Class driver's license.
• Basic plumbing and electrical experience are assets.
• Warehouse experience is an advantage.
• General computer skills required.
• Excellent customer service abilities expected.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks as directed by branch management to support Customer Service and Operations.
• Assist with installation and setup of janitorial dispensers and related pumps for new and existing customers.
• Complete all scheduled installations for new customer setups as needed.
• Provide emergency repairs and maintenance of dispensers at customer locations.
• Perform timely deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Manage inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
• Maintain and stock tools and equipment for fieldwork.
• Ensure proper care of the company service van.
• Collaborate with branch team on larger projects.
• Occasionally perform after-hours or weekend emergency service repairs.
• Travel to customer locations as required.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by management.

About the Role:

The Operations Assistant and Installer provides support across multiple departments, including Operations, Customer Service, and Warehouse. The successful candidate will assist with the installation and maintenance of chemical, soap, and towel dispensers, as well as support warehouse operations through deliveries, inventory management, and general order fulfillment. This role also includes providing backup support for customer service needs in the retail store when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute assigned tasks as directed by branch management, with a focus on supporting the Customer Service and Operations divisions.
• Assist with the installation and setup of janitorial dispensers, including chemical pumps, kitchen and laundry pumps, towel, tissue, and soap dispensers for new and existing customers.
• Complete all scheduled installations for new customer setups as needed.
• Provide emergency repairs and maintenance of dispensers at customer locations.
• Perform timely and efficient deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Manage inventory of replacement parts and equipment to ensure availability for service needs.
• Maintain, organize, and stock tools and equipment necessary for fieldwork.
• Ensure proper care, cleanliness, and maintenance of the company service van.
• Collaborate with the Swish Branch team on larger installation projects.
• Occasionally perform after-hours or weekend emergency service repairs.
• Travel to customer locations as required.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by management.

What You Bring:

• Valid G Class Drivers License
• Basic plumbing and electrical experience is an asset.
• Previous warehouse experience, including forklift and power equipment operation, is an advantage.
• A strong work ethic and a positive attitude are essential.
• General computer skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities.

• Salary: $20-23/hour, based on skills and experience
• Variable compensation: Annual performance bonus eligibility
