Job summary

Canadian Pacific Railway (CPKC) in Winnipeg, MB, seeks an Operational Accountant—Manager Car Hire & Non-Freight Billing & Receivable to lead a high-impact finance team. You will oversee car hire payables/receivables, invoicing, reconciliations, and monthly close to safeguard revenue and strengthen controls.

Ideal candidates will have CPA considerations, strong financial acumen, advanced Excel skills, and proven leadership in unionized and non-union environments.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Finance/Accounting required.
• CPA designation preferred or actively pursuing CPA is an asset.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in reconciliations and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead car hire payables/receivables, invoicing, and settlements with stakeholders.
• Oversee Non-Freight receivables and related reconciliations.
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and SOX/ICF compliance.
• Analyze financial data, prepare management reports, and support audit processes.
• Drive process improvements and cross-functional collaboration.
• Coach and develop team members to build leadership capability.
