Job summary

The Yukon Hospital Corporation is seeking an OR Supply Chain Technician – Materials Management for Whitehorse General Hospital. This Regular Full-Time role handles procurement, purchasing, and inventory management for the Operating Room, including loaner equipment and consignment records.

You will work with the Clinical Care Manager OR/ER and the Senior Procurement Officer to evaluate options, maintain data accuracy, and ensure efficient supply chain operations in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent with 2+ years in institutional procurement.
• Minimum 2+ years experience in procurement in an institutional setting; 1–2 years supply chain in healthcare preferred.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clear driving abstract.
• Knowledge of purchasing and inventory control principles.

Responsibilities

• Procure equipment and supplies with purchase orders for the OR.
• Manage OR inventories and loaner equipment.
• Coordinate loaner equipment repairs and replacements.
• Document daily purchasing and receiving activities.
• Research products and procurement options with clinicians.
