The role ensures safe operation of lifting equipment, maintains a clean processing area, performs setup and inspection tasks, and participates in packaging and lean activities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to read/write, and the capability to lift up to 40 lbs, with experience in warehouses or metals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general clean-up and packaging of material as required.
• Maintain measurement equipment and use scale for inspections.
• Identify, record and segregate scrap and non-conforming material.

Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications. Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Complete all required information entry accurately. Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Job Description

Principales responsabilités:

• Doit être certifié pour le poste de manutentionnaire.
• Opérer des grues, des chariots élévateurs à fourche et d’autres équipements de manutention.
• Tirer, inspecter et vérifier les produits avant de les traiter.
• Configurer correctement et en toute sécurité l’équipement pour faire fonctionner le matériel conformément aux spécifications des notes de montage.
• Traiter les notes de réglage conformément aux spécifications du bon de travail.
• Vérifier que le produit répond aux spécifications de la note de réglage selon les instructions de travail écrites et enregistrer les mesures (plan d’échantillonnage).
• Communiquer avec le représentant des ventes approprié en ce qui concerne les modifications/précisions apportées aux commandes.
• Effectuer la maintenance préventive de l’équipement.
• Saisir/supprimer correctement les étiquettes d’identification des matériaux conformément aux instructions écrites
• Effectuer le nettoyage général
• Participer à l’emballage des matériaux conformément aux instructions écrites et le bon de travail
• Maintenir en état de fonctionnement les équipements de mesure fournis.
• Utiliser adéquatement la balance et enregistrer les mesures d’inspection
• Identifier, enregistrer et séparer les rebuts et tout matériel non conforme.
• Fournir un retour d’information à la supervision concernant l’efficacité des machines et la qualité des produits.
• S’acquitter des responsabilités professionnelles de manière à ne pas se mettre en danger ou à mettre en danger d’autres personnes.
• Former d’autres personnes si nécessaire.
• Participer à toutes les activités liées à la production allégée et/ou à la qualité.

Exigences minimales:

• Complete job responsibilities in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation.
