Job summary

BlackBerry QNX is seeking a skilled Open Source Program Analyst to blend development and analysis, ensuring license compliance and risk management for embedded software. You will build automated solutions, assess OSS usage, and generate customer-facing deliverables to support product portfolios.

Ideal candidates have strong programming background (Python, C/C++, Rust), experience with OSS licenses, and familiarity with build tools and repositories.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of software development practices and open-source software analysis.
• Experience with multiple programming languages listed (C, C++, Python, Rust).
• Familiarity with software build tools and VCS (Jenkins, Subversion, Git, Perforce, Docker, Maven, Gradle).

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions in Python to improve operations.
• Troubleshoot, bugfix, and maintain automation.
• Operate software composition analysis tools.
• Perform forensic analysis of open source used in products.
• Interpret data to assess open source impact.
• Ensure compliance with OSS licenses and create SBOM materials.
• Construct SBOMs and ensure data accuracy.
• Communicate technical and legal challenges to stakeholders.
