Job summary

TBT Engineering Limited in Fort Frances, Canada, is seeking a licensed Ontario Land Surveyor with 5–10 years of cadastral, topographic and construction surveying experience. You will lead projects, mentor staff, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, compliant results.

Qualifications

• This role requires licensure as an Ontario Land Surveyor (O.L.S.) or eligibility for registration.
• Canada Land Surveyor accreditation is highly regarded.
• 5–10 years of experience in cadastral, topographic, and construction surveying.
• Proficiency with MicroSurvey software.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring staff; coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute land surveying projects, including boundary and topographic surveys.
• Prepare reference and registered plans for severances, subdivisions and Crown lands.
• Conduct field surveys using GPS, total stations, drones, etc.; oversee data collection and QC.
• Prepare and review survey plans, reports, legal documents and technical drawings.
• Interpret property records and plans to support boundary determinations; perform title searches.
• Coordinate with clients, municipal authorities, contractors and teams to meet objectives.
• Mentor junior/intermediate staff and oversee health and safety planning.
• Support business development through proposals and client engagement.
