Job summary

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is seeking an experienced investigator for a full‑time one‑year contract in Mississauga. The role offers hybrid work, with onsite presence one or two days per week and remote work the rest of the week, typically 8:30 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. The Investigator and Provincial Offences Officer will conduct investigations into alleged contraventions of the Travel Industry Act and Ontario Regulation, and assist prosecutors at trials and hearings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience investigating complex fraud cases.
• Postsecondary degree in psychology, sociology, law, criminology, law enforcement, regulatory compliance, forensics, or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to prepare detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and inspections to determine if a contravention occurred.
• Prepare case plans and gather evidence via interviews, documents, and surveillance.
• Prepare briefs for prosecution and organize exhibits and witness lists.
• Maintain investigation records and coordinate with applicable departments.
