OPENLANE is seeking a Vehicle Inspection Specialist to perform on-site vehicle inspections at our Richmond facility. You will assess wear, damage, and prior repairs, conduct road tests when needed, and document findings for auction readiness.

The role requires comfort with weather exposure, a valid Class 5 license, and reliability. Experience with vehicle-related tools is a plus, and safety is prioritized across all inspections.

Qualifications

• Observant and detail-oriented inspector ensuring vehicle presentation quality.
• Responsible for inspection of wear, damage, prior repairs and road tests as needed.
• Knowledgeable with industry tools like OBD scanners, paint meters, and related software/hardware.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles on-site at OPENLANE Vehicle Logistics Centers.
• Identify signs of wear, neglect, damage, or prior repairs.
• Conduct road tests and document findings for auctions and revenue impact.
